For the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, Nike explored the minds of the world’s greatest footballers, and the mad lengths they go to for footballing brilliance. From cryochambers to eating cow hearts, obsessing one skill to training sessions that would make us mere mortals shudder, these athletes have unleashed something that lies in all of us waiting to be awoken: a little madness.
In this session, a team of star players will take the stage together to go behind the work: Nike VP Brand Creative Jordi Pont, W+K’s Becca Pottinger, and director Sam Pilling.
In this talk, filmmaking duo King She explores their approach to directing, particularly through a “hyperlink” lens. King She uses interconnected, non-linear and multifaceted methods to break from traditional storytelling. Their first commercial Apple Music’s Diamonds engaged viewers in a dynamic, layered experience that draws from extensive research. Other examples like their Cannes Lion winning music video Tanto and their recent Powerade Olympics work showcase their process of turning limited time and resources into high-concept projects that blend practicality with imagination. King She explore how personal obsessions and idiosyncrasies create thought-provoking, complex narratives. And their crucial need for creating intimacy and authenticity through character development and world-building.
