about the speaker
After a brief stint in banking, Jordi Pont’s career truly began at DoubleYou in Barcelona, where, for over 10 years, the team pioneered digital innovation, mastered DHTML, led the Flash revolution, and created interactive magic.
In 2008, Jordi moved to W+K Amsterdam to lead Nike Football’s 2010 World Cup campaign. He spent two successful years there before returning to DoubleYou as Managing Director.
After three years at DoubleYou, Jordi returned to W+K to manage global accounts for Heineken and Booking.com from the Amsterdam office. Just as he was settling in, Nike offered him a Senior Director role in Global Brand Communications at their headquarters in Portland. He led Nike Basketball, Nike Women, and Nike Football’s creative global work for three years before moving back to Amsterdam to oversee Football for EMEA and lead the London creative studio. He was recently promoted to VP for EMEA, overseeing all brand communications across Nike’s ecosystem.
Throughout this journey, Jordi has been blessed with an incredible family: two wonderful children and his amazing Portuguese wife, whose love and support continue to inspire him.

For the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, Nike explored the minds of the world’s greatest footballers, and the mad lengths they go to for footballing brilliance. From cryochambers to eating cow hearts, obsessing one skill to training sessions that would make us mere mortals shudder, these athletes have unleashed something that lies in all of us waiting to be awoken: a little madness.
In this session, a team of star players will take the stage together to go behind the work: Nike VP Brand Creative Jordi Pont, W+K’s Becca Pottinger, and director Sam Pilling.
