Robert Payton is a Director and Cinematographer with over 35 years experience in television and advertising, shooting in more than 40 countries.
His clients include Unilever, PepsiCo, McDonalds, and Diaego. He spent 15 years in South Africa working on international productions, through Grinder Films and WeShootFood in Cape Town.
An early adopter of virtual production, for the last 2 years he has consulted for productions and ARRI on virtual production and assisted clients, agencies and DP’s in making the transition to filming in LED environments.
Robert has directed and shot over 40 hours of broadcast TV, and more than 100 commercials.
His awards include Best Documentary at New York Film and TV Festival, Glenfiddich Best Food Program and The Royal Television Society’s Best Use of music award. Nominations for BTAA Cinematography, D&AD, and Kinsale Sharks.
