Rafael Urenha, Chief Creative Officer and founding partner of GALERIA, has left a mark on Brazilian advertising over the past decade. Renowned for seamlessly blending advertisement and entertainment, Urenha now leads the creative team at GALERIA, setting new benchmarks in the industry. Throughout this career, his unwavering attention to craft has been a hallmark of his work.

With over 25 years of experience, Urenha began his career as an Art Director at DPZ in 1996, eventually rising to roles such as Creative Director and Chief Creative Officer, where he garnered numerous national and international awards, including Cannes LionsEl Ojo de IberoaméricaCCSP and Effie Awards.

Urenha’s portfolio includes groundbreaking campaigns like Méqui, which transformed how Brazilians refer to McDonald’s, and the Caverna do Dragão project for Renault, delivering the long-awaited finale of the animated series Dungeons & Dragons. Urenha also spearheaded the decade-long Leia para uma Criança (Read for a Child) project for Itaú, which distributed more than 80 million children’s book.

Recognized for his creative excellence, Urenha was named The Creative Professional of the Year by the Brazilian Advertising Association in 2019. In 2020, he received the same title from PropMark and was recognized as one of the most admired professionals by Spanish consultancy ScopenWired Magazine also listed him among the 50 Most Creative Brazilians of 2020.
