The parents and grand-parents of Sebastian Strasser were stage actors. By the age of 6, the young actor was taking part in stage productions and motion pictures. After his study at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, he worked at the first German broadcast station (ARD) as an author and journalist for a famous German political broadcasting show. In 2000, Strasser made his debut into commercial directing. In the last 12 years he achieved more than 60 international advertising awards. For example: 8 Lions in Cannes, multiple Gold and Silver at the London IAA, New York Festival, D&AD, Eurobest Festival, One Show, Clio Awards, Montreux, etc. He also won Gold at the D&AD Awards for the best Director in France 2010, Gold at the German Advertising Festival (VDW Award) for the best Director in Germany 2011, and numerous ADC awards worldwide. In 2005 Strasser ranked 13th in the Gunn Report’s Most Awarded Directors in the World. He is currently represented by Radical Media in the US and Germany, by Stink in the UK and by Wanda in France. In 2005 his first shortfilm Happy End was shown at the Berlinale. In the works are: two feature film projects and one TV-series.
