about the speaker
Nils Schwemer started his career in the film industry in his early 20s, and in 2014, he co-founded Iconoclast Germany, where he now is Managing Director. He has led his team to create an impressive portfolio of award-winning commercials and music videos, collaborating with notable artists such as Mykki Blanco, Kendrick Lamar, and Baby Keem.
Nils has a keen eye for talent and a commitment to pushing creative boundaries, which have propelled Iconoclast Germany to become one of the leading production companies in Germany. Moreover, Nils along with Iconoclast supports young and emerging talents in the industry, fostering a culture of mentorship and providing opportunities for budding directors to flourish.
Iconoclast Germany has been ranked as the Top Production Company in Germany in 2022. In addition, their work has earned them a position among the Top 5 Production Companies internationally. Iconoclast has also won awards for their work. Among their notable achievements are the Grand Prix prize at Cannes for the commercial Penny: The Wish, and recognition for the WhatsApp commercial titled One.
