Emil Torneryd

Emil Torneryd’s filmmaking career started at 13, making music videos for a local hip hop artist in his hometown of Västerås, Sweden, often starring his own pet boa snake in the lead role.

Growing up in the era of MTV and its Swedish counterpart ZTV, music videos were his first real obsession with filmmaking and have remained a major creative influence ever since.

After studying film in Los Angeles, Emil returned to Sweden and started a production company focusing on music videos and commercials.

Today, Emil is Executive Producer at Immigrant, leading the company’s growing presence across Scandinavia. With offices in Stockholm, Copenhagen and São Paulo, Immigrant works with an international roster of award winning directors across markets and cultures.
