Anna Smoronova is a Slovak Cinematographer working across feature films, documentaries, commercials and music videos. She shot the internationally acclaimed documentary The Killing of a Journalist before making her feature debut with Němá tajemství (Unspoken), which earned her a historic Czech Lion nomination as the first woman ever nominated for Best Cinematography. Most recently, her work on Bubble & Squeak premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. She enjoys telling stories through images that feel intimate, honest and emotionally grounded.
