Built in 1699 as a summer residence for Sophie Charlotte, wife of King Friedrich I, this multi-winged baroque structure is Berlin’s largest palace.  Charlottenburg Palace is home to a number of priceless collections. Its highlight are the gardens created in the French and English styles with orderly hedges, fountains, ponds, and tree-lined gravel paths.
