Thomas Schnaitmann is International Brand Director at HORNBACH based in Bornheim, Germany.

He took his first professional steps in the 1990s at BBDO New York, followed by years in account management at Michael Conrad & Leo Burnett Frankfurt.

In 2000, he switched from the agency side to the client side by joining Europe’s largest electronic retailer, MediaMarkt, where he pushed the brand internationally for over 15 years as Head of Brand Communication.

Following his strong belief in the power of differentiating, creative brand management, he moved to HORNBACH in 2015.

Since then, he has led the brand to numerous international awards, including Effie, D&AD, Clio, ADC, LIA and the Cannes Film Craft Grand Prix.

Thomas is convinced that brand success is only possible through a close partnership with the agency, based on trust and freedom.

He’s had the privilege of working with the incredible creatives and personalities in Guido Heffels’ team at Heimat/TBWA, as well as impressive directors and passionate production companies.
