Festival FAQs

Where should I stay during CICLOPE Festival?
Check out our Berlin hotel recommendations here. We encourage you to book early as the hotels fill up very fast.
Are the Festival talks recorded?
Yes, all the talks, Craft Debates, and FutureFrames sessions will be available on the CICLOPE content platform after the Festival.
As a pass holder, you’ll have access to the video recordings of the 2025 talks, and the entire CICLOPE talks archive, for 30 days after this year’s Festival.
What is FutureFrames?
FutureFrames is a new initiative by CICLOPE, designed to create space for bold, necessary conversations between the industry’s top emerging talent, and its most influential leaders, in a reverse mentorship format.
Launching at CICLOPE Festival 2025, FutureFrames will take the form of 60 minute panel discussions on 7 & 8 October held on the In-Focus Stage. These sessions will be moderated by Florence Jacob (Caviar Paris) and open to attend by everyone with a Festival pass.
See all the details here.
What are the Craft Debates?
Held on the In-Focus Stage, the Craft Debates are where you can dive deeper into conversations with Festival speakers and fellow delegates.
With a range of panels focussed on the trends and challenges on the mind of the industry right now, these sessions offer the chance to engage in discussions that span beyond the stage.
See the Craft Debates on this year’s Program here.
Do I need to register to attend any talks or sessions?
No, but please note that all Craft Debates and FutureFrames sessions are first come first serve.
We kindly ask that you ensure you arrive with enough time before a session starts, as the In-Focus Stage has a capacity limit.
If you’re unable to attend a session because it is at maximum capacity, you will still be able to view it on the CICLOPE content platform – which you’ll have access to for 30 days after the Festival as a pass holder.
Where are the Craft Debates and FutureFrames sessions held?
Both the Craft Debates and FutureFrames sessions take place on the In-Focus Stage.
Please follow the signage upstairs to the first level, on the right hand-side of the UdK Konzertsaal.
Can I enter the talks once they've started?
You may enter the audience of the main talks on the Festival Stage and all sessions on the In-Focus Stage at any point, unless they are at capacity. However, we strongly encourage all delegates to please arrive on time.
Can I take my bag and coffee into the talks?
Festival Stage: All bags bigger than A4-size must be left at bag check (on the ground floor), where you’ll receive a complimentary CICLOPE tote bag for your belongings. You may keep the tote after the Festival! Please note that food and drink is not permitted.
In-Focus Stage: Bags and drinks may be brought into the room.
Are there refreshments available at the venue?
There is all-day complementary barista coffee from the coffee carts, as well as filter coffee, tea and soft drinks in our cafe area. Bottled water and sodas are available from the fridges located around the venue.
What are some good cafes and restaurants near UdK?
See our handy list of places to eat and drink in the area here.
What's on in the evenings after the day's Program?
We have the Fringe events happening around the city, Drinks, sponsored by Compass Rose on Wednesday 8 October, and the Pre-Awards Cocktail Hour before the CICLOPE Awards Ceremony on Thursday 9 October at UdK.
For dinner options, check out restaurant recommendations here. Please note that all recommended lunch places are also excellent dinner spots.
What is the dress code for the CICLOPE Awards Ceremony?
There’s no dress code for the Pre-Awards Cocktail Hour or CICLOPE Awards Ceremony. Most delegates do dress in a party outfit but it’s not mandatory.
Help - I've lost my wristband or badge!
Please visit the Accreditation desk to be checked in again.
Note that you’ll need both your wristband and badge to enter the talks, however for the CICLOPE Awards Ceremony you’ll only require your wristband.
Is there a lost and found?
Yes, this is located at the Accreditation desk.
If you lose something, we encourage you to also post about it on the “Wall” of the CICLOPE app. This is often the fastest way to find something!
