about the speaker
Jason Kreher has spent his career creating impactful, award-winning work for some of the greatest brands in the world. After 15 years at Portland’s Wieden + Kennedy, and a handful more at Accenture Song and Maximum Effort, Kreher recently joined experiential darling DE-YAN as their Chief Creative Officer. “Buckle the fuck up,” he says, winking and making a face that indicates that there’s a lot of exciting stuff to come.
Kreher’s work has been recognized by nearly every major industry award, including an Emmy and not one but two Grand Prix’s at CICLOPE. He has appeared on AdWeek’s Creative 100 list as well as Creativity Magazine’s 50 Most Influential Creative People. In 2018, Ad Age chose him as their Creative Director of the Year.
In addition to his work in advertising, Kreher debuted his short film (with director Todd Selby) at the Slamdance Film Festival, published a book with Simon & Schuster, created an online comedy series with standup Maria Bamford, and made so much shit with indie rock band Portugal The Man that everyone was like, what?!?
Jason lives in Portland, OR with his handsome husband and two strapping sons.

In production and advertising, presence is power and image is currency. Many of us learn to perform a version of ourselves to fit a role: the unflappable agency creative, the visionary director, the confident closer. But what happens to the parts of ourselves we don’t show?
Ali Brown (PRETTYBIRD, Ventureland), Alberto Ponte (Someplace), Sally Campbell (Somesuch), and Jason Kreher (DE-YAN) will unpack the tension between their public persona and private self. Expect a conversation that’s intimate, reflective, and affirming — a reminder that strength can come from vulnerability, and that leadership can be most powerful when it’s most human.
