Cathy Kwan

With nearly two decades in production—including 15 years at Hornet—Cathy Kwan has helped shape the company’s motion design practice while leading work across technology, music, fashion, and art. Her career sits at the intersection of creative disciplines and industries, with a particular passion for turning ambitious ideas into meaningful, beautifully crafted work.

Before Hornet, Cathy worked alongside some of the brightest minds in children’s television, including Sesame Street and Peter Rabbit—experiences that continue to inform her approach to storytelling, collaboration, and community.

At her core, Cathy is a connector: someone who loves bringing people together, nurturing ideas, and seeing what happens when a great team makes something special. Off the clock, she’s usually hosting a dinner party, with her sassy pup, Nilou, close by.
