Valentin Guiod

Valentin Guiod grew up between Paris and London. Educated at ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres and at the London College of Communication (UAL), he transitioned from art direction at adam&eveDDB London to filmmaking. He combines writing, filming and editing with his love of crafting images to create bold and engaging stories. His poetic, character-driven films reflect contemporary culture across advertising, music videos, short films and features.

His film Patience (Sabali) has received international recognition, including a D&AD Silver, CICLOPE Gold for Best Cinematography and Silver for Best Direction, UKMVA Best Dance / Electronic Video – International, Grand Prix at the Shark Music Video Awards, Best Narrative at the Berlin Music Video Awards, Gold at 1.4, and Best Music Video at Aesthetica.

His current upcoming projects include Ravines, a queer coming-of-age short film about self-love, Fuck Yes, a TV show about sex and identities, and Potemkine, a feature exploring the conditioning of young soldiers.
