Tim Katz

Tim Katz is a founding partner and Executive Producer at Knucklehead, and Knucklehead’s AI off-shoot, Airhead. He’s pretty happy with that.

Since its birth in a 4th floor walk-up on the wrong side of Soho in 2004, to its current iteration with offices in Old Street and Santa Monica, Knucklehead has produced award winning work of all genres and has been recognised at all the world’s major award shows. They’ve also been responsible for the career development of some of the industry’s biggest Director names.

Tim began his career as a Runner in the early 1990s when Running didn’t involve just Googling stuff. He came up through Production, joined Rose Hackney Barber as a PA in 1996 and left as Managing Partner in 2004.

He was on the APA Council for 20 years and has been involved in supporting the APA x Creative Mentors Network programme helping to get the next generation of less-connected people into the heart of the industry.

Tim has worked with more directors than he can count but would suck as a director if he had to do it himself. He still loves Producing jobs and figuring out what makes Director’s tick, is always a bit in awe of how smart some people in this industry are, gets a tiny bit grumpy if people are late, finds Producing jobs with AI both interesting and terrifying in equal measure, and will probably try out a different industry in his next life.
