Paulo Garcia is Founder and Creative Director of Zombie Studio, a globally award-winning animation and production company blending craft, emotion, and technology across 2D, 3D, stop motion, and mixed media. His work has been recognized multiple times by major advertising, design, animation, and entertainment festivals, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, The One Show, CICLOPE, Annecy, Animayo, SIGGRAPH, and many others. He has directed projects for brands and artists including Moby, Gorillaz, and Vintage Culture.
His latest short film, 18 Months, has earned major international recognition, including the Grand Prize at Animayo International Animation Festival, and is officially in the running for the 2027 Academy Awards. Paulo has also served on juries for Cannes Lions (Film Craft), D&AD—twice, including as Jury President in the Animation category—and Clio Awards.
