ANNE PERRIAnne’s early fascination with film editing led her to study Media Arts at The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Specialising in video installation and exhibiting in various galleries throughout Melbourne, it was here that Anne started to hone her skills as a film editor.
Moving to London in 2004, Anne began her career in film and advertising as a runner at Academy Films. In 2005, Anne joined The Quarry as an assistant to the award winning editor Paul Watts; working on some extraordinary jobs with groundbreaking directors. Anne started making waves of her own when she met director Oliver Murray, and edited his first short film ’Treasure’ which went on to win various awards including Best Documentary 2013 at Tribeca Good Egg Film Festival, Best Documentary 2013 at Cork Fesnet Short Film Festival and Best Editing for the London Short Film Festival 2014.
Since joining Work Editorial in 2013, Anne has edited across commercials, music promos, documentaries and fashion films. Anne has widened her collaboration to include Directors such as James Rouse, Max Jospeh, Owen Harris, MJ Delaney and Jeff Low. Recent standout work include Kids Company ‘Give The Gift Of Christmas’ featured in the 2015’s APA’s Top 50, and Harvey Nichols ‘Shoplifters’ which went on to win 3 British Arrows in 2016.
In 2017, Anne and Oliver teamed up to work on their debut feature documentary ‘The Quiet One’, a film about the life and career of Bill Wyman, one of the founding members of The Rolling Stones. ‘The Quiet One’ has been screened a number of cinemas around North America and had it’s world premiere at Tribeca Film Festival in May 2019 and will have it’s European premiere at Doc Lisboa in October 2019.
