Yune Aranguren is one of the 100 most powerful women in Mexico, according to Forbes. She has represented women in key positions and ABInBev, the world’s largest brewery, for four years. Currently, she is the director of Corona and Cerveza Victoria, two of the most important brands in Grupo Modelo’s portfolio.
As the leader of Cerveza Victoria in Mexico, she has successfully increased the brand’s leadership in the beer category in the country while celebrating Mexican culture in a disruptive way. Her work has earned her recognition as Women to Watch 2020 by Ad Age and Adlatina.
With the goal of shaping culture and entertainment, she has won several awards for the brand, including Best Local Brand and Grand Prix at the Festival of Media Latam (FOMLA), Best Seasonal Marketing Campaign at Effies Mexico, and recognition as the strongest brand in Mexico 50 2019 by Brand Finance.
In 2021, she joined Corona as the head of the brand in Mexico, aiming to continue maintaining the legacy of La Más Fina, an icon that has shined as Mexico’s ambassador to the world for almost a hundred years.
Under her leadership, Corona and Cerveza Victoria were awarded at Cannes Lions 2022, winning 14 medals: 5 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze, thanks to the creativity of their campaigns such as Campeonato de Pesca de Plástico, Lenguas Indigenas, Jersey Pay, El Clásico de la Historia, and Victoria Cempasuchil, El Sabor del Reencuentro.
Yune specialized in Audiovisual Communication at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM) and Documentary Cinema at the International School of Film and Television (EICTV) in Cuba. She worked as a television producer for five years at MTV Latinoamérica. Later, she became Creative Director for another five years, working at places like La Doble Vida, where she was part of the team that won a bronze lion for outdoor advertising in Cannes in 2013. She also helped found and lead the Creative Department of VICE Media Mexico for over two years. In 2016, she joined ABInBev, adding almost 15 years of experience as a television producer, creative director, and now an exemplary business leader.
