Film and movement director Tajana Tokyo’s dynamic, immersive and exhilarating works belie her impressive dance career. To date, her desire to express ideas and emotions through the moving human form has resulted in many captivating shorts, music videos and live performances. Earlier in ’23, she co-directed Super Bowl spot, Run This Town as part of Apple Music’s Rihanna campaign. The uplifting piece featured stellar choreography, for after many years as a world-touring dancer for the likes of Janelle Monáe (Dirty Computer Tour) and Beyoncé (Formation, Beychella) – movement is integral to Tajana’s artistry.
