Jo Shoesmith is Chief Creative Officer at Amazon, where she helps brands earn their place in culture by combining big creative ideas with the systems to make them work at scale. She is both a Builder and a Curator.
As a Builder, she’s helped shape one of the world’s most sophisticated marketing organizations, serving hundreds of millions of customers. As a Curator, she makes sure the work connects – from Super Bowl spots with dogs and celebrities, to “Granny Sledding”, to the global “It’s on Prime” platform. Under her leadership, Amazon’s in-house creative organization was named Ad Age’s In-House Agency of the Year, and she was recognized with Campaign’s Inspiring Women honor.
Before Amazon, Jo held creative leadership roles at IPG, Leo Burnett, and Clemenger BBDO across the United States and Australia. Outside of work, she’s a passionate advocate for women’s sports and serves on the advisory board of Baseball for All.
