Introducing: Landscape

From its roots in Brazil, Landscape is a production ecosystem leveraging new technologies to deliver films, content and creative solutions for today’s brands. Founder and CEO, Gustavo Gripe, shared what makes Latin American creativity stand out, and how the 2025 CICLOPE Partner company are forward-thinking about the future of the industry.
As a Partner of the Home of Craft, why do you believe that great craft matters?
Craft defines the level a brand operates at—and brands with high ambitions chase exceptional craft. We live in a time where more companies than ever can produce content, flooding the world with noise. The only thing that cuts through, that truly separates Porsche from your local car dealer, is craft.
What is unique to the work that comes out of Latin America and makes it stand out on the global stage?
Latin America—and especially Brazil—was built with a social design that represents the future. The world will never be less diverse; it will only become more so. Brazil’s foundation is rooted in a fusion of cultures, and that makes our creative output naturally resonate with the evolving, multicultural societies of tomorrow.
How does Landscape foster emerging directing and producing talent?
If there’s one word to sum up Landscape, it’s courage. We are wired to dive headfirst into the new, bringing in fresh talent to solve old problems. While other production companies may develop their directors and producers through music videos or short-form content, Landscape and its labels give them their first opportunities to work with global brands. That changes everything because it teaches them to play football with a goalkeeper.
What positive changes do you see emerging from the current changes in the industry?
We’ve already seen entry barriers in the industry drop since the rise of digital cinema cameras. Now we’re about to witness an even greater shift, with the ability to tell audiovisual stories in new ways, sometimes without traditional physical production. This doesn’t replace its importance, but it adds a powerful new layer of possibility—creating a training environment that was never before achievable.
Finally, what are the Landscape team looking forward to at this year’s CICLOPE Festival?
We’ve grown a lot by watching global conversations and translating them for Brazil. But this year marks a new chapter: it’s about participating and shaping those conversations. CICLOPE is where they happen, and what we’re looking forward to most is getting close enough to truly become part of them.
