Gareth Brannan

Gareth Brannan is the co-founder and managing director of RASCAL – an independent creative studio with offices in London and Stockholm, bringing together VFX, colour, sound, music, design and emerging tech under one roof.

Prior to founding RASCAL, Gareth spent twenty years at The Mill, creating award-winning visual effects for some of the world’s most recognised brands, including Dior, Louis Vuitton and Burberry. Alongside his VFX career, he has directed music videos, commercials and television, including second unit work on major BBC productions such as Doctor Who and His Dark Materials.

Under Gareth’s leadership, RASCAL has grown rapidly into one of the UK’s leading independent creative studios, expanding its multidisciplinary offering while continuing to champion creativity, craft and collaboration. More recently, he has led the studio’s integration of AI across production and post-production workflows, developing secure, client-focused pipelines that combine emerging technology with world-class creative talent. His focus remains on embracing innovation where it adds genuine value, helping shape a more connected and creatively ambitious future for post-production.
