Naghmeh Pour was born in Iran and raised in Denmark. Shaped by a lifelong love of literature, scriptwriting, and Iranian cinema, she brings visual poetry, symbolic detail, and a rare emotional sensitivity to everything she makes, using metaphor to draw out reflection and human connection. Her film Iran-e Man for Pairi Daeza, made as part of the Women Life Freedom Project, earned her Cannes Lions, Grand Prix at Eurobest and New Director of the Year at Shots. She has also directed Ffern’s summer campaign Pink Sky At Night, starring Bill Nighy, and most recently, Name The Bias for Ethnicity Pay Gap Day, a call to action against systemic inequality in the UK that also earned a Cannes Lions.
