about the speaker

Lea has been a storyteller since she learned to speak. She first had the chance to turn this passion into a profession when she worked as a copywriter at an advertising agency. Lea quickly realized that film was the true medium for her stories, which led her to study commercial directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Since then, she has continuously gained experience as a director of commercials, short films, and music videos in Berlin, Munich, and Copenhagen.

Her films have made their way onto screens and the pedestals of award statues at festivals such as the Young Director Award, 1.4, Spotlight, and CICLOPE. She was part of the Master Class of the Hollywood Workshop at UCLA, where she didn’t spot a single celebrity on the street — but did consume at least 350 iced coffees.
