For over 20 years, Laura has enhanced the industry through her fresh and pioneering spirit and ideas that are firmly rooted in culture, not advertising. Combining deep technical skill, with her innate human understanding and passion for storytelling, Laura is recognized and awarded globally as a creative innovator and industry leader, and was described by The Guardian as “a digital female icon”. She is founder and chief creative officer of creative studio Uncharted, who combine new technologies with diverse talent to lead brands into culture with confidence. She is a past president of D&AD, and has an honorary doctorate from UAL for her services to women in graphic design. Prior to Uncharted she was President and Chief Creative Officer at Grey in the United Kingdom.

She has won many creative awards over her career, from Cannes Lions, to One Show Gold, to D&AD. Within the last few years, she has won all these and the Global Grand Effie for her work with Pringles globally.

Laura is also the founder of SheSays (the largest global network for advancing the careers of women and non-binary people in the creative industries), The Great British Diversity Experiment and CANNT festival (for people that can’t go to Cannes Lions). In her spare time she’s a digital artist currently developing an experimental AI perimenopausal Australian folk-horror film, The Bush.

Laura is a regular judge and speaker at global creative events, sits on the boards of Factory International (Manchester International Festival and Aviva Studios), Ravensbourne University, trans+ History Week and UK Creative Festival, is on staff at The School of Communication Arts in London and is the D&AD Creative AI Masterclass trainer.

She is passionate about the power of creativity to set a positive, inclusive vision of the future.
