about the speaker

Keith Schofield started directing in high school in Chicago — because why wait until you’re old enough to rent a car before making people question the laws of physics? Growing up in an analog era of RCA cables, Keith honed a style that’s equal parts visual kaleidoscope, sleight-of-hand magic, and “wait, how the hell did he do that in camera?”

His work blends understated comedy with technical wizardry, giving audiences the strange dual sensation of being in on the joke while still feeling mildly gaslit by reality.

Fast-forward a couple of years and Keith has become a heavyweight in the commercial and music video game, directing everything from Super Bowl spots to award-hoarding campaigns. We’re talking Cannes Lions, MTV VMAs, UKMVAs, One Show, Clios, and Campaign’s “Campaign of the Year” — basically, if it comes with a shiny trophy, there’s a good chance Keith’s name has been on it.

More recently, he’s been goofing around with all things Ai – images, music, videos, even coding. And while he’s not committed to prompt his way out of his day job, he thinks there may be a weird peace that can be made the artists and the machines. A little bit like the end to The Matrix Revolutions, but more dystopian.

Keith Schofield: making the impossible look effortless, the ridiculous look genius, and the “how’d he do that?” moments… well, still unanswered.

The music video has always been a playground for creative risk. But in a world of algorithm-led discovery, shrinking budgets, and AI-generated everything, how do you still make something that stands out?

Expect a no-BS conversation between directors and label insiders Martín Piroyansky (Rebolucion), Theresa Adebiyi, and Keith Schofield (Caviar), about the future of the format that launched a thousand careers—and what it takes to break through today. This panel will be moderated by Rebecca Rowntree (Get Sh*t Done).
