Ameena Kara Callender

Ameena Kara Callender is an award-winning costume designer and stylist collaborating with the world’s most groundbreaking and relevant directors, choreographers, brands and talent in film, commercials, music, stage, performance and fashion.

Ameena’s background in fine art, craft and theatre is reflected in the extraordinary universe of characters she has co-created, and especially in her attention to historical and cultural details and her understanding of both contemporary and period culture and counterculture.

Ameena has designed for talent including Troye Sivan, Teyana Taylor, Rosalia, and Stormzy. She has a long and strong creative relationship with industry disrupter and award-winning director Ian Pons Jewell. She has also collaborated with industry greats like Kim Gehrig, generation defining artist Nadia Lee Cohen and global brand leaders Nike and Apple.

Awards include a silver British Arrow in 2026, another in 2020 and a Royal Television Society award for her design work with Brit icon Noel Fielding.
