Mahmoud Ghali is the founding partner and visual effects supervisor at Monkeys, a VFX and animation studio based in Cairo and Dubai, recognized for its creative problem-solving and high-end craft across the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. 

After earning a computer science degree in 2004, he shifted focus to 3D art and worked as a lead artist and VFX supervisor in Cairo. Over the years, he has contributed to award-winning campaigns and collaborated with most major directors in the region. In 2011, he co-founded Monkeys with a vision to create a studio that combines creativity, world-class execution, and nurturing environment for artists. 

Today, Monkeys is a trusted creative partner for brands, agencies, directors, and producers on both regional and international projects, with work recognized by the Cannes Lions, British Arrows, Clio Awards, and other major festivals. 

Ghali takes great pride in mentoring young talent, and creating opportunities for local artists to grow, thrive, and operate at a global standard. His commitment to building a resilient and fulfilling creative ecosystem, where artists evolve into the professionals they aspire to be, is at the heart of Monkeys’ culture and continued evolution.
