The CICLOPE Award is the ultimate benchmark of excellence in craft across film, advertising, and digital production.

It is the industry award dedicated to honoring the people behind the craft, and an annual celebration of the very best of the year’s commercials, music videos and short films.

Selected by a Jury panel of industry experts and top-tier talent, CICLOPE Award-winners set a gold standard across categories including Direction, Cinematography, Production Design, Editing, VFX, Animation, Music, Idea, New Talent, Innovation, Use of AI and Live Experience among others.

Winners are announced live in Berlin, at the Awards Ceremony at the annual CICLOPE Festival.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Entries for the next CICLOPE Awards will open in early May 2026.

Any production, post production, digital, music, and editorial companies, as well as agencies, clients and independent professionals can enter their work into the competition.

To submit, CLICK HERE, register and log in to the platform. Once in the entry system, just follow these steps:

01. Click on CREATE AN ENTRY.

02. Choose the appropriate Section and Category for your entry, and fill in the credits.

03. To complete the entry, click on the UPLOAD icon and provide the mandatory video.

04. To finalise the entry, just check the tick box next to your nomination and click on SUBMIT. You will be automatically redirected to a safe automatic payment system where you can pay with Pay-Pal or credit card.

  • Files should be MPEG4, MPEG2 or MOV files.
  • The recommended compression rate is 15-20 Mbits.
  • The maximum file size is 1GB.
  • Please note that all credits and logos should be removed before uploading the video.
  • If you wish to enter a campaign, keep in mind multiple films should be entered separately.
  • The complete piece should last no longer than 20 minutes.
  • PLEASE do not include any special characters (& / * / “”) in the name of the file.

Submissions can be paid by credit card or bank transfers. For orders above € 3.500, we recommend the latter.

No. Once you have completed your submission, fees are not refundable under any circumstance.

CICLOPE’s judging process consists of two rounds.

The first is undertaken by the Grand and Executive Juries, who watch and rank all the year’s entries via CICLOPE’s online platform. The highest-ranked entries in each category are considered finalists.

In the second round of judging, the Executive Jury gather in Berlin to discuss the nominees and award Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies to the best work in each category. The Jury reserves the right not to award in any category, if the quality of the submitted work does not meet a minimum standard. The panel may also choose to award a Grand Prix to the most outstanding entries in the competition.

Winners are announced at the CICLOPE Awards ceremony, held on closing night of the annual three-day CICLOPE Festival in Berlin. Access to the Awards ceremony is included in all Festival passes.

The Awards team will be in touch with the entrant companies of all winning work once judging closes. In the CICLOPE Awards ceremony, Grand Prix and Gold winners will be invited on stage to receive their trophies. Trophies will be sent out to anyone unable to attend the Festival in the following weeks.
