Three days of inspiration, networking and celebration with hands-on workshops, screenings, and more networking than ever will take place in Berlin 7-9 November

CICLOPE Festival returns to Berlin this November and has just announced its full programme and speaker line-up. Set to be bigger than ever, the evolving three day event includes talks from some of the biggest names in craft and creativity, including: Autumn De Wilde (Director, Anonymous Content), behind the hit film Emma; Edward Berger (The Sweet Shop & Soup Film), Oscar-winning Director behind “All Quiet on the Western Front”; Sophie Gold (Founder and Executive Producer, Eleanor Films); and Mark Molloy, Smuggler’s award-winning Director behind Apple’s “Underdogs” commercials.

Content themes

This year, the content is underpinned by six themes. Each theme is driven by current trends to help our community understand the insights driving the industry now and in the years ahead. The themes are:  AI in Focus, Behind the Work, Breaking Conventions, Meet the Director, and Tapping into Talent.

Screenings and workshops

In 2023, there will be more screenings of the work, enabling the CICLOPE community to understand the craft and creative processes behind the world’s best work in short films, commercials and music videos.
And for the first time, a workshop series will enable all attendees to get hands-on and learn from world’s-best makers and creators. Workshops include: Writing on the Wall: Virtual Production for Advertising with Director and cinematographer Robert Payton and The Making Of: Channel4’s Idents hosted by Mike Skrgatic, Time Based Arts Co-Founder & CD; Fabrice Le Nezet, Optical Arts, Director & CD; and Michael Battcock, Time Based Arts, Head of 3D and Director.

Make connections, build communities

In a new venue, the UDK Concert Hall, all the content will take place under one roof, making meeting with the biggest agencies, companies and brands from around the globe, easier than ever.

Networking drinks end day one and two, culminating in the Awards Show and after party on day three. Alongside meet-up drinks and parties, the CICLOPE networking app allows everyone attending to see who’s there and to get in touch, making it smoother to build connections and extend creative contacts.

Attendees already signed up from creative companies across the globe include: WPP, Apple, DDB, Droga5, Johannes Leonardo, Jung Von Matt, Mischief, Netflix, Publicis, Wieden+Kennedy and many more.

Francisco Condorelli, Festival Director, CICLOPE Festival, said: “We’re only weeks away from the event, and it’s set to be our biggest on record. We would like to thank our incredible juries for helping us set the benchmark for excellence, and our speakers for bringing their craft and creative insights and expertise to the stage.”
