about the speaker

Lope Serrano, co-founder of the production company CANADA, is a director and perceptive storyteller. A native of cinema, he weaves sophisticated narratives that enchant viewers and clients alike. He values integrity and humanity as much as beauty, and his work often explores the intersection of reality and constructed worlds.

Commissioned to promote Spanish audiovisual talent, Serrano created ‘The Cause Of The Accident That Started The Fire‘, winning multiple awards worldwide, including two Pencils at D&AD and a Cannes Lion. Other highlights in his career include ‘Crème Caramel,’ a fashion film that cemented CANADA as a cultural force, and ‘Sound and Vision‘, a homage to David Bowie, as well as award-winning short films for Longchamp and Miu Miu.

Serrano has also made a name for himself as a director of iconic music videos, including ‘The Less I Know The Better” for Tame Impala, which won the Jury Award at SXSW, and ‘Physical‘ and ‘Love Again‘ for Dua Lipa, both of which have won multiple awards. His internationally recognised style has attracted a wide range of clients, including H&M, Hornbach, Expedia, Instagram, Budweiser, and Louis Vuitton.
