Ferhat Gurini is one of the most dynamic filmmaking voices to emerge from Scandinavia right now, with a background that has shaped his distinct ability to read and reflect culture in his work.
After graduating with first-class honors in International Relations from the London School of Economics, Ferhat found that his academic work wasn’t creating the meaningful change he’d hoped for. He pivoted to filmmaking instead, quickly establishing himself as a voice in European music videos, particularly within the German rap scene.
His 2025 film for the charity brand Generation Gaza pushed his visually and thematically layered style further, earning him a string of international awards, including Gold at CICLOPE and a double Gold at 1.4.
Today, Ferhat continues making music videos while expanding into commercial work, with a documentary currently in pre-production.

C:FUTURE is CICLOPE’s initiative dedicated to the next generation of the creative industry. Rather than discussing the future of young talent, it puts young talent at the centre of the conversation.
Taking place across all three days of the Festival, each session features a different group of emerging talent from different disciplines. But every conversation follows the same three themes: Expectations. Reality. Hope.
By repeating the framework with different voices, C:FUTURE reveals where a new generation shares common ground, where perspectives diverge, and what the industry can learn from both.
