Ilya Dzhincharadze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, on December 5. He graduated from VGIK, the Russian State University of Cinematography.
In 2010 he joined Hype Production as an advertising producer and worked with clients such as Adidas, Volkswagen, Visa, Reebok, Kaspersky, Yandex, Orbit, Coca Cola, Samsung, S7, among others. He ran campaigns for Nike, BMW and Sberbank, that were awarded in Cannes Lions and that launched the careers of some of the biggest names in the Russian market.
Since 2016 Ilya has been heading productions for Hype Film, and has made a significant contribution to the creation of films, which later became nominees for many prestigious awards, including “The Student”, screened in Cannes in 2016. The film “Leto” -by the same director Kirill Serebrennikov-, that celebrates the emergence of the underground rock scene in Leningrad in the 1980s, was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. Engaging World War II drama “Persian Lessons”, directed by Vadim Perelman, found its voice at a special screening in the 70th Berlinale.
Today, Hype is preparing more high-profile movie releases, while constantly working in advertising projects.
