Peter Raeburn is a BAFTA, AACTA, AMANDA and Grammy-nominated composer, who won the prestigious Sundance World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award for Original Music. Peter has won more than 75 music awards for today’s most iconic films, brands, and causes. 

Peter was born into a musical family in Johannesburg. After moving to London as a child, he embraced music and learned the piano, trumpet, guitar, and singing. In the early stages of his career as a professional musician, Peter was drawn to film music and gained invaluable experience honing his craft whilst working with a wide range of composers and musical minds. 

In 1997, he founded the internationally renowned and multi award-winning music production company, Soundtree. He has released five solo albums: You and Me, Scape, Note to Self, Recovery and his latest record, We Are Biophonica, a musical collaboration with Mother Nature. Peter also produced and co-wrote Anoushka Shankar’s Grammy-nominated How Dark It Is Before Dawn. He is currently putting the finishing touches on a forthcoming solo work. 

He lives in Los Angeles with his family and their dogs.
