Mike Skrgatic founded Time Based Arts with fellow VFX artist and friend James Allen in 2007. In the years since, the company has grown to become one of the most highly regarded and awarded VFX companies in Europe. In addition to TBA, the pair set up the creative studio, Art Practice, with partner Dan Tobin Smith.
Art Practice was created to support the authored output from their collective companies. Their most recognised achievement to date is the multi-award winning Channel 4 idents in 2023. The company supports a roster of multidisciplinary artists working across short-form films, stills and art.
