Matthew Carey leads experimental teams inside Google Creative Lab, shaping emerging technology into tools to expand human imagination and spearheading collaborations with creative visionaries outside of Google.
He and his collaborators have created national monuments, music videos, apps, TED Talks, platinum-selling album launches, brands, rebrands, school curricula, new products, new businesses, the most successful social campaign in Google’s history, the largest portrait in world history, the largest online platform for ecosystem restoration, a book that illustrators taught to illustrate itself, an AI powered thesaurus for rappers and a photobooth that can take your picture in any part of the multiverse.
Most recently he led the design and launch of Flow, Google’s AI filmmaking tool and partnered with Darren Aronofsky to create the first short film from his AI production company Primordial Soup.
