Gong Myung Lee brings 15+ years of visual effects experience across film, television, and advertising. She is currently working on Robert Zemeckis’ The Witches and has also led Method teams as a VFX Supervisor for Netflix’s Triple Frontier and Deadpool 2. Since joining Method in 2016, she has also supervised VFX for episodes of Marvel’s The Defenders, Baz Luhrmann’s The Get Down, and Top Boy.
With a background rooted in visual storytelling, Myung helmed many creative for projects including more than 25 elegantly creepy promos teasing FX’s American Horror Story. She has also worked on advertisements for Planters Peanuts and Turbo Tax in the last two Super Bowls.
Prior to joining Method Studios in New York, Myung was VFX Supervisor/Head of CG at Mr. X Gotham and held various creative supervising roles at The Mill and Charlex. Other feature credits include Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, Zoolander 2 and Pompeii; and TV series she’s contributed to include Vikings, Narcos and Marco Polo.
While an Adjunct Professor at the School of Visual Arts, Myung taught lighting and compositing. She holds degrees in Political Science, International Economics and Computer Science.
