about the jury

Leanne Amann is a Texas-born, New York-based creative director and filmmaker. Her career kicked off winning a student One Show award gold. And her first campaign, while working as a copywriter at JWT on U by Kotex, earned a Cannes shortlist by turning the tampon category completely on its head.

She’s since gone on to reinvent other brands and categories, most notably and recently at Anomaly where she’s anchored down for 8 years making award-winning work for massive global brands including Johnnie Walker, YouTube and Don Julio.

As an art, music and literature geek, she’s a stickler for craft. That sense of style and caliber of taste is evident in all her work, as a creative director and also as a filmmaker. She believes advertising can also be, but is so rarely, art. But meeting that challenge is the best reward.
