Kirsten Tan is a New York-based Singaporean filmmaker whose debut feature Pop Aye premiered as an opening night film of Sundance Film Festival 2017, and was awarded a Special Jury Prize for Screenwriting. The film picked up several accolades along the festival circuit and was invited to represent Singapore at the Oscars. A Sundance InstituteCannes Cinéfondation Atelier and Cinereach Film Fellow, Kirsten is currently developing her second feature film Higher, which received the Sundance/NHK award. She has directed content for brands including Giorgio ArmaniHeineken, the Singapore Tourism Board, and Raffles Hotel Singapore. Ella, a fashion film for Giorgio Armani, has been included in the permanent film collection of MoMA in NYC.
