  • Gaming company Ubisoft recently launched ´Far Cry 6´ with a trailer created by DDB Paris, produced by Stink Films and directed by legendary collective Traktor. It's the story of Chicharron, a super cool rooster who is kidnapped by the regime of Antón Castillo, but then then escapes to freedom, laying the foundations of a revolution. Join DDB's CCO Alexander Kalchev, Måns Björklund, from Swedish VFX studio Important Looking Pirates (who used motion capture to give this CGI film a real-life look) and director Pontus Lowenhielm, member of the directing collective, Traktor.

  • Founder of Arch Model Studio, acclaimed model-maker and Wes Anderson's right-hand man, Andy Gent has more than 25 years of experience in puppet making, set building and character creation. His credit list is extensive. Probably most famous for working on Wes Anderson’s ‘Isle of Dogs’ ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’, and ‘The Grand Hotel Budapest’, his other credits include Tim Burton’s ‘Corpse Bride’, ‘Frankenweenie’ and ‘Miss Peregrines School for Peculiars’, and Henry Sellick’s ‘Coraline’ along with hundreds of TV commercials.

Meet this amazing director who has worked with a-list talent such as A$AP Rocky, FKA Twigs, Rosalía, James Blake, Madonna, Eva Mendes, James harden, Kevin durant, Lykke li… and clients as Gucci, Schweppes, BBVA bank, New Balance, Lacoste Live!, Tous, L’Óreal…

  • The creative legacy of one of the most iconic Swedish brands is intimately related to its long relationship with its creative agency, Mother. In this session, we’ll explore what makes a fruitful creative partnership; how the brand and the agency push each other to break barriers, how they've nurtured their creative relationship and what we can expect next.   • Black stories are too often stereotyped. While those stories exist, they do not represent the full Black experience. Rondell Wescott, executive producer in the series "Widen the Screen", dives deep into one of the industry's long-standing problems.

  • London born director Oscar Hudson first began making skateboarding videos for friends while studying Anthropology at university. Since then he has honed his unique visual style to produce award-winning music videos for the likes of Bonobo, slowthai and Radiohead, as well as collaborating with brands like Apple, Nike, IKEA and John Lewis.

In this talk, Leo Burnett Worldwide’s Global CCO, explores the power of creating stories and experiences that move people en masse, or what she likes to call "populist creativity".

  • Pushed through an afro surrealist lens, her works are grounded in the history of black music, the aesthetics of experimental film, international art cinema, the black arts movement and the rich and variegated tradition of cinemas of the black diaspora and their distinct experimentation with the politics of form. She directs music videos for artists such as Kamasi Washington, Neneh Cherry and Beyoncé.

  • Award-winning sound designer Nicolas Becker, will be joining us for a virtual interview conducted by Shai Caleb Hirschson, to discuss his exquisite work in the movie "Sound of Metal". He's talk about the importance of working with artists and the idea of gesture to achieve a naturalistic sound, but most importantly, sharing his experience and what he learnt through that journey.

  • We're very excited to have here with us Nadja Lossgott and Nicholas Hulley, Executive Creative Directors at AMV BBDO, as well as the agency producer Edwina Dennison. Together they created “Wombstories”, a global campaign for Bodyform that continues to break down decades of toxic shame. Please welcome Nick, Nadja and Edwina, who will share the back story of Wombstories, and will later be interviewed by Antoinette de Lisser, business consultant.

  • An emerging figure in the UK, director Aneil Karia will lead us through his search for the right conditions on set, allowing the cast to be free but keeping the right direction. His work is not only about creating polished looks in every frame, but also about reaching the sweet spot between structure and spontaneity, embracing freedom and improvisation to portray the authenticity of real world feelings. Aneil's debut feature film, Surge, premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2020. Earlier that same year he directed The Long Goodbye, starring Riz Ahmed, which was awarded at CICLOPE Festival.

  • Mercedez-Benz launched a new campaign, a 70-second film in the style of an epic 1970s space opera is intended. Senior Creative David Kaufmann, production designer Robin Brown and executive producer Christoph Petzenhauser, from ANORAK, will be together on stage breaking down in details the backstage of their terrific work.

  • Director Andzej Gavriss & production designer Julija Fricsone-Gavriss work together to take their films to a new level. Together, they don’t just make films, they create worlds. Director Andzej Gavriss’s creative vision has brought him success across the globe. Hailing from Latvia, he has directed award- winning films from the UK and US to Russia. Julija Fricsone-Gavriss is an award winning production designer, based between Berlin and LA. Her love of film photography, fashion and design had led her to develop a heightened sense of color, texture, and composition. Together, Andzej and Julija will take CICLOPE’s stage to describe how they work to take their films to a new level. Together, they don’t just make films, they create worlds.

  • "We change the game when we find each other". The tagline on Facebook’s commercial "Skate Nation Ghana" says it all. The film, that captures the African country’s unique vibes through the lens of a community of skaters, is a story about connection, directed by a collective of three artists with different backgrounds.

    Join this talk with directors Elliott Power and Bafic (who worked together with Justyna Obasi), and discover the power of collaboration through this epic and refreshing spot. The conversation will be guided by Danny Edwards, co-editor of Shots.
