Where should I submit my work?
Submission have to be made exclusively on this website. To submit your work, click HERE.
What is the required format for submissions?
The suggested formats for videos are MPEG4, MPEG2 or MOV files, with a maximum weight of 750 megas. The recommended compression rate is 15-20 Mbits. PLEASE do not include any special characters (& / * / “”) in the name of the file and note that it is MANDATORY to include a link to the work on Vimeo or YouTube. In any case, the complete piece should last no longer than 20 minutes.
How does the judging process work?
In 2020, CICLOPE’s judging process will consist of three rounds. The first one is undertaken by the Executive Jury together with the Grand Jury, who watch and rank the entries on CICLOPE’s online platform. The 10 (ten) best-ranked entries in each category will be considered finalists. In the second round of judging, the Executive Jury personally discusses the finalist pieces on a Zoom meeting and awards one Gold, one Silver and one Bronze trophy in each category. In a video conference call, the Executive Jury can also award one Grand Prix for the best work of the year in each section.
Why online?
Even though the Covid-19 outbreak prevented us from celebrating our usual conference in Berlin in 2020, we are still willing to encourage meaningful conversations and to award the most well-crafted work of the year. Therefore, in the last quarter of the year, CICLOPE is sharing exclusive content and introducing an online version of its film craft awards. Winners will be announced on Thursday 3rd December in this website.
