Last week, Ciclope Shanghai was a huge success, gathering over 150 of the most influential players in the local market.
Hosted by leading VFX company Fin Design & Effects, local production company Gwantsi and digital creative production company MediaMonks, the conference and networking event was held at WaterHouse Hotel, and it started with a very enthusiastic speech by Jacqueline Zhang, who took part of the jury of CICLOPE 2014. She shared her experience as the very first judge from China and the reason why she decided to support this event in Shanghai.
Then, after a few words by Jan Willem, from MediaMonks, Eric Cruz (Executive Creative Director at AKQA Shanghai) came on stage to explain the process of making what it probably was one of the most challenging installations ever made in the Chinese market. And right after Cruz’s presentation, Fin Design’s VFX supervisor, Stuart White, shared the latest works developed by the company in the local market, including a cutting edge VR project they’re working on.
Last but not least, the evening ended up with drinks and good music, becoming the very first edition of what will probably be a “must” event for the local advertising industry.
Ciclope Festival 2019 was a success with more than 1,000 entries, 800 delegates and more than 100 people taking part in networking activities.
