With 16 years of experience in the industry, Romero Cavalcanti started his career as a copywriter. Before coming to FCB as Creative Director, he was at Leo Burnett. Prior to that, he worked at other major agencies such as F/Nazca S&S, AlmapBBDO and JWT. He has worked with accounts like Skol, P&G, Unilever, Leica, Volkswagen, Honda, HSBC and Nike, to name a few.
Romero Cavalcanti is one of the most awarded professionals of his generation, having won awards at major national and international advertising festivals. He has won 17 Lions at the Cannes Festival, including the coveted Grand Prix in the video category for the “100” commercial for Leica. Romero has also won awards at Clio Awards, One Show, D&AD, Young Guns, London Festival, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Professionals of the Year by Globo and the Brazilian Creative Club. He is on Advertising Age’s annual Top 5 list of Creative Professionals and was the 10th most award winning copywriter at the 2015 Cannes and at the 2015 One Show.
