PREETHI MARIAPPANAs Executive Creative Director at Razorfish Germany, Preethi Mariappan sets the creative vision and oversees the multidisciplinary creative departments of all German offices. She partners with clients such as Audi, DHL, IKEA, Tourism New Zealand and UBS, creating marketing ideas for the digital age as well as helping clients to drive business transformation.
After a 17-year career in technology and product design across India, Singapore and Dubai, Preethi moved to Germany and joined Razorfish in January 2014. Prior to Razorfish she worked with TBWA Digital Arts Network, Ogilvy One and Tequila, and for brands such as Nissan, Infiniti, GE, Volvo and GSK.
Her work has been awarded at all the major shows such as Cannes, SXSW, LIA, One Show, Webbys, New York Festivals, Epica, Clio, D&AD, SABRE, Loeries, Dubai Lynx, CAPLES and the Effies. One of her most notable pieces of work is the ‘Red Tomato Pizza Fridge Magnet’, which was honoured with four Cannes Lions. She has also served on juries at Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, Eurobest, Dubai Lynx and ADC Portfolio Nights.
Outside of work Preethi is the founder of Adwomen, a community of women dedicated to mentoring young female talent within advertising and technology. Furthermore she was one of the opening speakers at the first German event of SheSays, the only global creative network for women. Preethi also co-founded CoCreator, an app matching start-ups to agency talent.
Preethi loves working at the crossroads of brand, storytelling, technology, people and products and thinks of at least 20 impossible things before breakfast.
