Pol started working in advertising around eight years ago. He used to have spare time, in which he spent two years as a board member for the Dutch Young Creatives Association (De Jonge Honden). Now? He is an award-winning copywriter and doesn’t have spare time.
In 2010 Pol teamed up with art-director Bart Mol and they have been partners in crime ever since. At Tribal DDB Amsterdam, Pol has worked on global clients including KLM, Philips, Volkswagen, and Nicotinel. Dutch brands include NS, Ziggo and Centraal Beheer. Awards the duo have scooped recently include a D&AD Yellow pencil, SXSW, Eurobest, Epica, ADCN, Spin Awards, and Cannes Lions.
When he was a young boy, Pol was inspired by Gerry Rafferty’s 7” single, ‘Baker Street’, to learn to play the saxophone. His recent ‘Obsessed with Sound’ and ‘The Sound of Creation’ campaigns for Philips inspired him to pick up his vintage sax again.
