As Executive Director of Production, Matt oversees all of Wieden + Kennedy Portland’s productions across every content platform for clients including Nike, Facebook, Coca- Cola, Old Spice, P&G, Instagram, KFC, Magic Leap, Travel Oregon, and Samsung.
Matt was previously W+K’s Nike Global & North America Executive Producer and Integrated Director and, before that, Executive Producer on Facebook and Coke. He joined W+K in 2006 as a Senior Producer from BBDO in Chicago. In his past production life, Matt was a documentary producer for National Geographic, Discovery, and A&E after beginning his career as a National Eastman Kodak Scholar working with the ICG in Hollywood at Warner Bros Studios.
Matt has led work that’s garnered every top industry accolade, including multiple Grand Prix at Cannes and three Emmy wins for Outstanding Commercial of the Year for Coca-Cola, P&G Olympics, and most recently the Nike “Dream Crazy” campaign. Matt’s team has helped Wieden + Kennedy be named the World’s #1 Most Innovative Company in Advertising & Marketing in 2018 and 2019 by Fast Company, as well as similar 2019 agency of the year achievements by Ad Age, Adweek, and at Cannes.
Matt has family roots in Detroit and Austin, and currently lives in Portland with his wife and their three young children.
