Justin Drape started The Monkeys in 2005 with Scott Nowell and Mark Green. They each invested $10K with a vision to create the most provocative creative agency in the country.
Today, their clients include Qantas, Intel, Telstra, GM/Holden, IKEA, Unicef and Asahi. The agency has won more than 200 creative awards from various shows including D&AD, Cannes, The Clios, One Show, Webbys and AWARD.
This year The Monkeys was named Campaign Brief 2017 Australian Agency of the Year, and last year was recognised as Mumbrella Asia APAC Creative Agency of the Year, Campaign Asia Australian Creative Agency of the Year and B&T NSW Agency of the Year.
Drape is also a writer and executive producer. He wrote and produced the acclaimed SBS TV series, My Family Feast, and was co-creator and writer of comedy-drama series :30 seconds (working with Andrew Denton’s production company, Zapruder’s Other Films). Both series were nominated for Logie and Australian Film Institute awards.
