JUSTIN BRUKMANJustin Brukman is Managing Director of MPC New York, one of two US offices of the global visual effects and digital production company. In this position he leads a team of over 90 full-time creatives, artists, producers and technologists. Working collaboratively, they produce and create high-profile visual effects and live action content for global ad agencies and major marketers, as well as for feature film producers and directors, episodic program producers, cultural institutions and many other clients. The studio is a leader in emerging platforms such as VR, AR and Mixed Reality, as well as in traditional broadcast advertising, branded content, music videos, broadcast promotion, experiential design, live installations and mobile media.
During his tenure at MPC’s head office in London, which he joined in 2002, he worked on award-winning spots and campaigns for such brands as Nike, Apple, Coca-Cola, Heineken, Sony, Adidas and many others. He arrived in Manhattan in 2008 to build MPC’s presence in America’s largest advertising market, responsible for the office’s sales, marketing and financial performance as well as recruitment, staff development, production management and new technology. Since then the office has grown from a staff of six to one of MPC’s key hubs, earning a reputation as a source of high-end effects, design and production work and becoming a magnet for creative talent.
Beyond his role as Managing Director, Justin is also active in the New York production community, serving on the board of AICP and on AICE’s key business affairs committee. A passionate supporter of the city’s art and cultural scenes, he led MPC’s recent partnership with The Andy Warhol Museum and the Museum of Modern Art, acquiring the rights to 400 of Andy Warhol’s mostly-unseen films. The studio counts among its advertising clients many of New York’s most creative agencies, including BBDO, BBH, Anomaly, Merkley, Droga5 and many others.
