Jorge Montiel is a Creative Director in The Mill’s London studio. Joining in July 2011, Jorge now leads the character animation creative team and oversees all animation projects.
His most recent creative highlights include Netto ‘The Easter Surprise’, Virgin Media ‘Delivering Awesome’, Halifax ‘Thunderbirds’ and O2 ‘Follow The Rabbit’.
Other recent noteworthy works include Halifax ‘Scooby-Doo’, and the award-winning Waitrose ‘Coming Home’ and Opel Motorsport ‘Racing Faces’.
Jorge has also played a key role in some hugely high-profile CG works, including the multi award winning SSE ‘Maya’, which featured a 100% photo-real CG orangutan. He also worked closely with director Simon McQuoid on Smithwick’s ‘Squirrel’, to develop a fully CG photo-real squirrel, which is seen toiling with craft and precision in a brewery to craft the perfect pint. Additionally he has been recognised for his work on the fully CG Audi ‘Hummingbird’ spot.
Previously, he has been heavily involved in ground-breaking animation projects, such as the Johnny Walker ‘Change The Game’ campaign, which involved creating a photo-real face replacement complete with character performance and personality, and Fruit d’Or ‘Hugo’.
