I am half German, half American. I have studied photography at Berlin’s prestigious Lette Verien. After graduating, I worked as a freelance photographer and writer for several international fashion and music magazines such as Dazed & Confused, Bon and 032.c amongst others. In 2005 I moved to London. Parallel to my career as a photographer and writer, I started experimenting with moving image and in 2009 I made the transition, beginning to work as a director of fashion films, music videos, short films and commercials.

I have since gained critical acclaim for my fashion films and experimental shorts. They have toured the world in Diane Pernet’s ‘A Shaded View Of Fashion Film’ Festival and have been part of many other festivals and exhibitions such as Birds Eye View, Nick Knight & ShowStudio’s exhibition ‘The Fashion Body’ in London’s Somerset House, ‘Britain Is Making It’ at the V&A, ‘Dressing The Screen’ at UCCA Beijing and ‘Designs Of The Year Awards’ at The London Design Museum amongst others.

My short film ‘I Want Muscle’, about a female bodybuilder, won the MK2 ASVOFF Grand Prix in 2011. The jury included Pascale Faure, Head of the Short-film Department at Canal+, and Jerry Stafford, Creative Director at Première Heure, amongst others. ‘I Want Muscle’ has subsequently been screened in MK2 Cinemas all over Paris. Its initial one-month run was extended to two after the great reception of the film. ‘I Want Muscle’ was also nominated for the 2013 ‘Designs Of The Year Award’ in the category fashion.
